Our Story

Founded by ex-World Cup mountain bike rider Stu Thomson, Cut Media began when a career-ending injury meant swapping the bike for a camera, and the start of a whole new adventure.

From day one, we’ve believed that behind every sport are human truths that unite fans and athletes, driving their sport’s culture, dedication, and fandom. 

Our vision from the start has been clear: collaborating with athletes to place their passion and talent at the heart of the story, bringing sport to life in a way we can all feel, be part of, and that lasts.

Over the past decade, this vision has shaped our work, helping us create some of the most iconic and emotive sports content in the world, not just seen, but felt.

We’re proud of the journey we’ve been on and the work that’s been recognised along the way, from taking the top prize at the Clio Awards in New York for ‘World’s Fastest FPV Drone vs F1 Car,’ to winning Broadcast Sports awards, and picking up multiple Mountain Festival accolades, including from the prestigious Banff Mountain Festival.
