The Fresh Cuts MTB Internship is back!

Calling all mountain bike creators, athletes and fans… This programme could be for you!

Once again we’ve teamed up with DMBinS and Screen Scotland for Fresh Cuts 2, a paid training programme giving six up-and-coming creators the chance to dive into the world of mountain bike and adventure filmmaking.

The class of 2025 - with Ben Deakin and Olly Wilkin’s who joined the programme to help with our 48 hr challenge.

We might be working across a lot of different sports these days, but we also know where we came from. Mountain biking gave us the platform to create Cut Media, work with some amazing brands and learn our craft — so the opportunity to help provide that same platform for others is something we’re immensely passionate about.

Last year saw the inaugural Fresh Cuts programme, and we absolutely loved being part of it. Seeing new talent coming through, bringing their own style and energy to the stories they tell, is genuinely inspiring. So for 2026, we can’t wait to get involved again.

Over six months, participants will work two days a week, and as part of that they’ll train with us here at Cut Media — learning the ropes across everything from storytelling and creative development to shooting and editing.

Fresh Cuts not only provides trainees with a unique, immersive experience but also builds a skilled pipeline of creatives ready to meet the growing demand for dynamic content in the mountain biking world. Scotland’s mountain bike scene is world-class, and this is all about growing the next wave of talent who’ll keep that energy alive.

If you’re based in Scotland, love bikes and the outdoors, and have an eye for a story, applications are open now until 12 noon, 12 November 2025.
