There are no more prominent names in F1 and MotoGP than Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi—they’re titans in their respective sports.

Monster Energy asked us to capture the magic as these two legends swapped their rides for a truly once-in-a-lifetime event. We never shy away from working with the greats, even when it’s a high-pressure, quick turnaround.

The challenge

  • Plan, capture, and edit a deliverables list of over 70 content assets for use across multiple high-profile social channels

  • Collaborate with Sky’s F1 media team to cover every angle of the day

  • Deliver on-the-day assets, ready for immediate publication

On the ground

Weeks of planning with Monster’s social team meant we went into the day with a planned list of deliverables, with wiggle room to capture any unplanned magic moments.

The quality on the track had to be matched on the screen to deliver near-instant results—the fast-paced world of social media waits for nobody.

Our solution? Bring a three-person production team on-site to seamlessly work on the edit as the day unfolded.

And within two hours of the chequered flag coming down, we delivered the first hero edit.

In the days following, we produced and released a two-minute hero film, over 70 social assets, race drone edits, and two POV edits across the channels of Monster Energy, Lewis Hamilton, Valentino Rossi, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP.

Results

The reaction was just as expected from a project featuring two of motorsport’s undisputed legends.

The dream F1 x MotoGP crossover became an instant success. Capturing Lewis and Valentino’s genuine excitement on the day was as much a thrill for us to make as it was for the audience to watch—a truly unforgettable experience.
