With over ten years in the game activating the world's biggest names for global brands, we’ve learned a thing or two about getting the most out of athlete partnerships in an authentic way for audiences.
Athlete content demands a different approach at almost every stage of the creative and production process, from the overall strategy to capturing action and collaborating around race schedules—and this series was no different.
To ensure the episodes maintained their authenticity, we focused on showcasing Nino's one-of-a-kind personality and spirit throughout the nine-minute features. This kept die-hard fans engaged with exciting race event cuts and wider audiences entertained with genuinely moving athlete stories.
The ultimate athlete activation
The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is where it all started for us, so getting to capture the action at Mairiporã, Brazil, was a fun, full-circle moment for us.
We're buzzing to continue telling this story, both from a branded content perspective and from working with one of the world's greatest mountain bike athletes—who also happens to be a hero of ours at Cut Media—so it's pretty cool that this constitutes “work”.
