Taking a brand partnership to new heights

The challenge

Launch a new partnership between Red Bull and Virgin, merging two dynamic brands to deliver exclusive Red Bull content across Virgin’s planes, cruise ships, and beyond. At the heart of this bold launch campaign is Red Bull’s renowned kitesurfing athlete, Tom Bridge, showcasing his talent and innovation through an ambitious feat that embodies the spirit of both brands.

The insight

Fans crave new ways to experience sport, always seeking ways to make them feel closer, more connected, and deeply immersed in the action. Not just seen, but felt. To take the partnership with Red Bull and Virgin Voyages to new heights, we would have to give audiences something completely new.

The idea

Teaming up with kitesurfing prodigy Tom Bridge, we got hold of one of Richard Branson's Virgin Voyages cruise ships, docked near the Greek island of Delos, and embarked on a feat that would take kitesurfing to a new level. The 17th level, to be exact.

From a 9,000km journey across Saudi Arabia's deserts for the Dakar Rally to revolutionising how F1 is captured, we knew this next project with Red Bull would again break boundaries.

Bringing it to life

We coordinated all logistics, managed budget and crew, and captured the action as Tom launched from 40m above the water, gliding 300m and staying airborne for 40 seconds. Working closely with Red Bull and Virgin Voyages, we created a 2-minute hero TikTok edit, along with news cuts for PR and media teams.

The result

With TikTok pushing landscape videos over a minute long, we harnessed this trend to immerse fans into this epic feat. With over 2 million TikTok views and 3 million views on Reels. The campaign also gained extensive earned media coverage.

The extra mile

Beyond capturing the hero moment, we went further, creating an extended news piece featuring an interview and reaction clips from Sir Richard Branson himself. It added an extra layer of credibility, personality, and entertainment to the campaign, helping it land even harder with audiences and media alike.
