Tom Bridge kitesurfs off a cruise ship

Taking a brand partnership to new heights

Big ship. Massive challenge.

When Red Bull came to us with the idea of capturing a never-before-seen kitesurfing stunt to launch their new partnership with Virgin Voyages, we knew it was going to be epic.

Teaming up with kitesurfing prodigy Tom Bridge, we got hold of one of Richard Branson's Virgin Voyages cruise ships, docked near the Greek island of Delos, and embarked on a feat that would take kitesurfing to a new level. The 17th level, to be exact.

At just 23, Tom has already racked up an impressive list of tricks, titles, and trophies. From pulling off the first-ever Triple Half Cab to kitesurfing in 150kph winds during Storm Ciara, Tom's no stranger to pushing the limits.

But jumping off the 17th deck of a 277-meter, 108,000-tonne cruise ship with 2,600 guests on board? That's a whole new challenge.

“The biggest thing I’ve ever jumped off”

Tom wasn't kidding.

To launch from 40m above the water, he had to navigate the ship's massive wind shadows and stay on course despite 12,000 square meters of wind power acting on the top deck.

Following four months of meticulous pre-production planning, a 6 am call time and a take-off scheduled for just before everyone’s buffet breakfast, Tom made history, gliding 300m across the water and staying airborne for an incredible 40 seconds before nailing the landing.

Capturing another world first

Working on Red Bull projects for well over a decade, we've consistently pushed the limits of what's possible in sports content, and this project was no different.

From a 9,000km journey across Saudi Arabia's deserts for the Dakar Rally to revolutionizing how F1 is captured, we knew our next project with Red Bull would again break boundaries.

The result?

A long-form TikTok-first edit that engaged millions of viewers across multiple platforms, with a longer news cut featuring Sir Richard Branson that made waves in the kitesurfing world and beyond, driving massive engagement and boosting brand recognition for both Red Bull and Virgin.
